A closer observation of the scope will reveal that it has a smaller reticle that you can use for trajectory compensations of up to 600 yards. You also have the model coming in a wide range of configurations that lets you choose one based on kits, reticle options or camo finishes. The scope is designed for a wide range of users from competitive shooters to game hunters. The Burris MTAC 1-4×24comes with a unique ballistic QR reticle that differentiates it from other scopes. Strike eagle – A Comparison Overview Burris MTAC 1-4×24– Overview The Burris uses modern technology which gives it a slight advantage over the strike eagle. The Strike eagle benefits from a second focal place reticle that you can use for wind drift correction, holdover, and estimating range. This has made the scope a favorite for competitive shooting and game hunting. The Burris does come with an innovative Ballistic CQ reticle that enables you maximize on a circular center for better engagement in close distance action. Here the Burris has an edge over the Vortex Strike eagle as it is 3.1 ounces lighter and under an inch longer. Size and weight do matter a lot when it comes to choosing the right scope. The Vortex outperforms the MTAC when it comes to brightness, FOV and MOA. The tint on the Vortex is a slight ping pinge which contrasts sharply with the MTAC less tint. Other dimensions are on the side of the Vortex as it offers a larger field of view and when you look at the MOA it scores 140 compared to 130 for the Burris. However, the Burris MTAC offers better eye relief at 4 inches compared to the Vortex 3.5”. When we go to magnification the Vortex offers 6x compared to the Burris 4x. ![]() The Vortex stands out with its 11 brightness levels which are slightly higher than the Burris MTAC 10. When it comes to scopes it is all about magnification and the visibility of targets. The Burris has a slight advantage in its design as it is lighter than the Strike eagle which may make it easier to carry during hunts. The MTAC does stand out with its Ballistic CA reticle and courtesy of its circular center does offer fast engagement in cases of close distance action. Both come are nitrogen purged to make them fog resistant and they are both made from high grade aluminum alloy with a anodized matt finish.
